Leslie’s Retreat Closed: Leslie’s Retreat on North Street in Salem has officially closed after being in business for 37 years. The long time Salem restaurant has been closed since this past Easter and intended on re-opening. The owner, Claire Chalifour, gave the official message to the public by posting a sign outside the restaurant saying “Leslie’s Retreat is offically closed. Thank you all for 37 years of memories. It’s been a sincere joy. I’ve shared outstanding times and memories but it is time to hang up my apron.”
Bonchon Coming Soon to Salem: Bonchon will be opening soon at 299 Essex Street in Downtown Salem. Bonchon is an Asian Fusion Restaurant that specializes in Korean-style fried chicken. Bonchon has been called “The best chicken wings in the country” by CNN, was named the “Best Game Day Food” by Seamless, and recently praised by Zagat, Philadelphia Magazine and Washingtonian Magazine.
A Wine & Cheese Shop Coming to Salem: The Cheese Shop of Salem will be opening in downtown Salem later this summer.
