A New Wine & Cheese Shop Coming to Salem: The Cheese Shop of Salem will be opening in downtown Salem later this spring. Sea Level Oyster Bar & Kitchen Coming Soon!: A new seafood restaurant will soon be opening on Pickering Wharf in Salem. Sea Level Oyster Bar & Kitchen will be opening in the former spot of Capts Waterfront Grill & Pub, located on 94 Wharf Street. Capt’s annouced their closing this past November after being in business for over 10 years. From their Facebook page, Sea Level Oyster Bar will boasts two floors of fun and comfortable dining with beautiful views and a sit down raw bar packed with the freshest shellfish around. An extensive beer list and creative cocktails will quench your thirst while the kitchen cooks up fabulous seafood, gourmet pizzas and more, and the bar plays all the games you could want to watch on our dozen tvs. The new restaurant plans to open April of 2015.

A&B Burgers Moving to Beverly: Salem’s popular burger and beer restaurant is packing up and moving to the former home of Bell Market in downtown Beverly. In a Facebook post, owners Amy Butler and Thomas Holland announced that they will be moving A&B Burgers to Beverly due to “challenges with their current location” in Salem. Some of the challenges they addressed included parking issues and not having a big enough dining room and bar to accommodate all their guests on a busy night. With the move, the owners have also started a Kickstarter campaign to help with the funding. With the funds from the kickstarter, the owners disccussed plans of adding “a 20-seat bar, booths and high tops along the walls and tables up along Cabot Street, a 24 tap beer system and two gorgeous, 16-foot garage-style doors that will open from floor to ceiling creating the only indoor-outdoor bistro-style seating on Cabot Street.” Their goal is to reach $60,000 by March, 15th. A&B plans to move this summer.
