New England Sammie Co. Now Open: New England Sammie Co. has opened at 1 Boston Street; the former location of Tony Lena’s and Soprano’s Cafe. The new shop opened on Wednesday and specializes in pizza, burgers, wraps, panni’s and more.
Salem’s So Sweet 2016: Salem’s So Sweet Chocolate and Ice Sculpture Festival kicks off this weekend; Feb 5th- Feb. 7th. The annual festival inclused the Chocolate & Wine Tasting Kick-off Event at Colonial Hall at Rockafellas, Ice Sculptures around Town and Shopping Promotions and Events. Sidelines Re-Opening Friday: Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill; is Re-Opening for business this Friday, Feb. 5th. The sports bar and grill, located on Canal Street, temporarily closed at the begining of January after annoucing they were under new ownership & management. The new owner, David Cutler; who also owns the popular Irish Bar Paddy Kellys in Peabody; says they are bringing in new and exciting changes and upgrades to the bar including 30 brand new TV’s and much more.
Notch Brewing Coming Soon to Derby Street: Notch Brewing Company is opening a brewery and taproom at 283 Derby Street. The building will boast a live and working brewery and will have an attached taproom with outdoor seating facing the South River for tasting and sampling. The brewery plans to open in Spring, 2016.
